Seattle, W.A. – The New York Post reported a protester in the police-free district set up by demonstrators in Seattle demanded that white demonstrators fork over $10 to their black counterparts. Just like that, the debate over reparation payments to African-Americans returns.
Last week, members of BLM, and other far-left action groups, seized a six-block enclave called the “CHAZ” — where there’s a smoking section, room for political discourse, and free food if you can find it.
Short for the “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone,” the “CHAZ” is located outside the Seattle Police Department’s now-deserted East Precinct at 12th Avenue and East Pine Street in the hip, bar-friendly neighborhood. The department’s sign now reads the “Seattle People Department.”
A video uploaded to social media shows an unidentified protester giving a speech inside what looks like a baseball field in the CHAZ near the East Precinct in Seattle on Friday in which he encouraged people to donate money to their black comrades.

For years, reparation payments to African-Americans have reignited the debate between both whites and blacks in the United States. Slavery is horrific; racism is unconscionable. Both are irremovable stains on U.S. history. But Americans disagree on how to handle its legacy.
Nearly 75% of black respondents in a 2019 AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll said they believe the U.S. government should pay reparations to the descendants of enslaved black people, just 15% of white participants supported the idea.
Both whites and blacks in this country have more in common than they may think concerning reparations, for there isn’t a single person, regardless of color, that was living or breathing during the American Civil War. For the left in this country, it appears that the government should fork-over money for the atrocities of American ancestors.
How much is slavery worth? After all, slaves were sold for money before the American Revolution and the years preceding the American Civil War. Are Americans to believe that it would be “OK” now to pay for the sins of slave-owners? The logic of the left is disturbing.
African-American activists argue that based on formulations on the total value of slave labor to the U.S. economy over about 250 years, possible reparations payments could fall between $17 billion and $5 trillion. And just like that, American “original sin” would be forgiven; our nation’s darkest days forgotten.
For the left in the U.S., the simplest solution to solving racism and deep-seated hatred of African-Americans in this country is to throw a “stack of Benjamins” to say “I’m sorry” for beating, breaking, and “making bank” on the backs of blacks for over 250-years.
I say, “You cannot buy your way out of bigotry for the right in this country. Sin is not for sale.”
