Sometimes, it’s better to just stand aside, keep your mouth shut, and let your opponent speak for himself. How’s that thing go? Never interrupt a fool when he’s making a mistake? Or in this case, when the fool is Joe Biden talking out of both sides of his mouth about fracking.
This is one of those times. With an assist from Joe’s intrepid vice presidential running mate Kamala Harris thrown in — just for grins.
The conversation went something like this:
Joe Biden: “I am not banning fracking. Let me say that again. I am not banning fracking. No matter how many times Donald Trump lies about me.”
Joe Biden: “No more. No new fracking.”
Joe Biden: “I am not banning fracking. Let me say that again. I am not banning fracking. No matter how many times Donald Trump lies about me.”
Joe Biden: “We are gonna get rid of fossil fuels.”
Joe Biden: “I am not banning fracking. Let me say that again. I am not banning fracking. No matter how many times Donald Trump lies about me.”
Joe Biden: “No, we would work it out. We would make sure it’s eliminated.”
Joe Biden: “I am not banning fracking. Let me say that again. I am not banning fracking. No matter how many times Donald Trump lies about me.”
Ladies and gentlemen, may I present Joe Biden, and Joe Biden…

So which Joe was the real Joe? Hard to say.
The Joe in the above clip who adamantly declared he has no intention of banning fracking and Trump is lying if he says otherwise is a whole lot different from the Joe who in March declared, as reported by my RedState colleague Nick Arama: ‘No More Drilling, Period,’ No New Fracking, ‘Take Millions of Cars off Road’.

Joe Biden flip-flopping on fracking is hardly the first example of two different Joes taking two different positions. As reported by Business Insider in June, 2019, Flip-Floppin’ Joe was in rare form as he talked out of both sides of his mouth on China — and whether he thinks the communist country is a threat to the United States.
During a June campaign speech in Iowa, Biden said:
“We are in a competition with China. We need to get tough with China. They are a serious challenge to us, and in some areas a real threat. And every single step that Donald Trump is taking is only exacerbating the challenge.
“While Trump is tweeting, China is making massive investments in technologies of the future. While Trump is name-calling, China is building roads, bridges, and high-speed rail. […]
“China is pressing its advantage all over the world. So you bet I’m worried about China — if we keep following Trump’s path.”
However, just one month earlier, Biden had a “slightly” different view.
“China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man. They can’t even figure out how to deal with the fact that they have this great division between the China Sea and the mountains in the east — I mean the west.
“They can’t figure out how they’re going to deal with the corruption that exists within the system. They’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what? They’re not competition for us.”
Um, Joe?
As the old saying goes, if you always tell the truth, you never have to try to remember what you said, last time. But that’s not what’s going on with Biden’s flip-flops.
Democrats are about nothing more than political expediency. Joe Biden is their current poster boy. Everything liberals do, say, support, or oppose, can be connected to the ballot box with no more than two dots. Couple that with Biden trying to be everything to everybody.
Problem is, that disingenuous approach generally leads to being nothing to anyone. Toss in Joe’s inability to remember what he said and when he said it — about anything — and disaster looms for the Democrats at every turn.
Speaking of disaster looming at every turn, Joe ventured out of his basement on Monday for a campaign trip to Pittsburgh. As I reported earlier today, what a very bad trip it proved to be indeed:

Pop corn, people — we’re gonna need a lot of popcorn.
