President Trump’s campaign received some welcome news yesterday when he was endorsed by former members of the Nixon, Ford, Reagan, and Bush Administrations for the work that he and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have done to bring peace to hot spots in the world.

From…Fox News

A group of 70 senior government officials who worked with various Republican administrations dating back to Richard Nixon endorsed President Trump for re-election on Monday, citing his accomplishments on foreign policy and national security.

In an open letter, 70 former officials, including governors, senators, national security advisers, military generals and ambassadors from the Trump, George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, Reagan, Nixon and Ford administrations, lauded the president for pursuing a “strong foreign and national security policy in America’s interests.”

“We also believe that a president’s duty and loyalty are owed, first and foremost, to the American people, and not the international community, which is consistent with strengthening our alliances and friendships,” the letter said. “For all of these reasons, we have concluded, that Donald J. Trump should be re-elected as President of the United States.”

When you think about it, in just under 4 years we have seen a lot of things on the foreign policy side that we have been promised for years but no elected official has come close to delivering. If you take the moving of the United State’s embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in Israel that would have been enough for any first term and something that has been promised forever by all previous administrations. That was supposed to cause major unrest but it has not.

Also, the fact that this country has now reversed it’s previous disastrous position of trying to pay the Iranians to be nice to us as the Obama administration did was major. That Trump has slapped sanctions on them and promises more to come if the regime does not change behavior has worked. Another Trump term would most likely bring more positive change for the Iranian people.

Lastly, the peace deals just signed with Israel is a radical shift from doing everything we can to make the Palestinians happy and forging ahead with deals to help all the countries in the Middle East has already proved to be successful.

The is going to be brutal re-election for the President but thankfully we have some observers who have seen some of the promising things this administration has done for the past 4 years. Hopefully, we get the chance to see what another 4 years of Trump and Pompeo can bring.
