Sacramento, CA — On Monday, the California Senate passed SB-145, a law that addresses the sex offender registry for people across the state of California. State Senator Scott Weiner proposed the bill in 2019 as a means to help protect the LGBTQ community. He said that current legislation allowed discrimination against LGBTQ young people across the state and needed to be changed.
Once the law is signed by the governor, sweeping changes will happen to California allow allowing sexual predators to assault their victims, potentially avoiding the penalty of being on a sex offender registry. The legislation addresses specific sexual acts that could have places LGBTQ offenders on the registry that the California Supreme Court has said was not legal for straight offenders.
There is more to this issue than what you will hear in the mainstream media, however. There’s one keyword in this legislation that you have to pay attention to. That keyword is minor.
The new law would allow someone to avoid the sex registry if they have sexual intercourse with a minor, up to 10 years their younger. The only requirement is that they must prove the act was consensual. You must remember that these cases are typically two people arguing their sides of the story.
You have to see the big picture here. California is saying that straight or homosexual, if you sexually assault someone and can claim that it’s consensual, they are not going to punish you by registering you on a sex offender registry. Even if that victim was 14 years old, and you are 24 years old.
In what world does it make sense that a 24-year-old should be allowed to have a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old. It applies to all the ages from 14-17 in California. So a 27-year-old could have sex with a 17-year-old and that would be acceptable.
The bill allows the judge to decide whether to place the person on the sex offender registry or not. How is this even up for debate. In no situation is a 14-year-old able to make a logical decision of having a sexual relationship with someone that is 24 years old.
Teenagers are easily convinced to do things by those around them. Nearly every day, we hear stories about peer pressure and teenagers making bad decisions. Now, legislators are working to protect the predators that will stalk these minors. Did I mention that the keyword in this is minors?
On the extreme side, are we saying that it is acceptable for an 18-year-old to have a sexual relationship with an 8-year-old? In the theory presented in this bill, that is possible without the 18-year-old being placed on the sex offender registry. This makes me absolutely sick.
Some more information that is worth noting, Senator Weiner in California was endorsed by Democrat Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris. While the author would like to hide this behind the guise of LGBTQ rights, this is another example of Democrats who do not care about American’s safety. Yes, California is legalizing pedophilia.
While all of the left-wing radicals are out celebrating a “win” for LGBTQ rights, sexual predators are getting excited. No longer do they have to live in fear of prosecution. The only thing that they need to do is vote Democrat. In a Democrat-led society, absolutely nothing is wrong.
The Democratic party has lost all their morality and common sense. Measures like these continue to lead our country down a path of self-destruction. Our country’s leaders are more interested in personal satisfaction and gratification, than protecting and serving those most vulnerable.

Democrats insist that it is all Trump’s fault
Over the past several days, Democrats have started to double down on their claims that everything is Trump’s fault. As violence continues to rage in Democrat-led cities across they country, they want to claim that it is Trump who is causing the issues. The past weekend saw a Trump supporter, who was labeled an alt-right extremist by the media, shot and killed in Portland.
