Dr Fauci falsely says there is no inconsistency in application of government restrictions

Washington, DC — On Friday, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, testified before Congress on COVID-19. In the most entertaining exchange, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) grilled Fauci on the different applications of restrictions between government and church.

In the exchange, Jordan pointedly asked Fauci why some people were allowed to gather in large groups, disobeying public health recommendations without any public outcry. Still, things like going to church or work were not ok. Fauci became frustrated with Jordan, at one point seeming to wave him off during the questioning.

At one point, Fauci said he did not feel there was any inconsistency in the application of public health recommendations, meaning that he felt protesting was fine, but going to church and work was an issue. Rep. Jordan immediately picked up on this and pushed Fauci to clarify, but Fauci saw his mistake and backed down. You can see the exchange in the video below.

Conservatives have long argued that the application of the recommendations has not been equal. Many had issues with the recent Supreme Court decision in Nevada, one that was mentioned by Jordan in his comments. In that case, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of shutting down churches for public health reasons, a clear violation of the first amendment rights.

Jordan pressed Fauci to respond to the question if one set of rights was more important than another. Fauci refused to answer, but the question remains. Is there any single right that is more important than others. That’s exactly what the Supreme Court indicated in their decision.

Rep. Jordan is correct in his pressing of Fauci, however. Fauci says that he is not in a position to make statements regarding what should or should not be allowed, but that’s not entirely true. Fauci has shared his opinion on many different occasions.

In January, Dr. Fauci was one of a group of people that said the majority of Americans were not at risk for COVID-19. In March, Fauci advocated for a national shut down as a suggestion for slowing the spread of COVID-19.  In April, Dr. Fauci said that Americans should never shake hands again due to the public health risks.

Just yesterday, Fauci also suggested that Americans should wear goggles to help enhance coronavirus protection. Dr. Fauci has had no issues in sharing his opinions throughout this pandemic. Suddenly, he has no desire to share his opinion when he completely understands he is going to be caught in his web.

Dr. Fauci has completely relegated himself to supporting the Democrats mission and agenda for November. If the Democrats suggest it, he supports it. If Fauci suggests it, the Democrats support it. The information about trust in Fauci tells a similar story.

Democrats overwhelmingly trust Dr Fauci and the information he shares. Republicans continue to lose faith in him, seeing him as a mission of the Democrats, rather than a medical expert. Especially as multiple physicians present opposing viewpoints, and organizations continue to attack those viewpoints.

The media and the Democrats have conspired against the American people and many physicians around the country. In many instances in healthcare, there are multiple ways to achieve the treatment of conditions. That is not the case with coronavirus. It can only be addressed through obeying Fauci and the Democrats.
