Never Trumper Jen Rubin Hilariously Goes Full #NeverBernie, and Mistakenly Believes Democrats Actually Care

Though Washington Post “conservative” columnist Jennifer Rubin isn’t technically a Democrat, she’s a hardcore Never Trumper, which is the same thing – especially when you consider how important she finds it to make sure Democrats are elected to serve at all levels of government because Orange Man Bad and stuff.

Except over the last several weeks she’s actually found one Democrat she doesn’t like – and it just so happens to be frontrunner Bernie Sanders. After Sanders finished second Iowa and won the New Hampshire primary, her fretting over Sanders escalated, which was around the same time MSNBC “Hardball” host Chris Matthews and Clintonista James Carville were sounding alarm bells about Bernie (totally coincidental, I’m sure).

As a wave of recent national and state-level polls have proven the momentum has definitely shifted in Sanders’ direction, Rubin’s Twitter feed has shifted from being all about defeating Trump to all about defeating …. Bernie.

The funny thing about it though is that in the midst of her frantic tweets warning against the rise of Bernie, she’s found out that liberals and Democrats who fawned all over her anti-Trump diatribes over the last 4 years have suddenly either turned against her because she’s interfering in their decision-making process or just flat out don’t care about NeverTrumper opinions on their nomination process.

Nevertheless, she feels the need to implore Democrats to do to Bernie what NeverTrumpers tried to do to Trump in 2016, because they apparently set the standard or something. LOL:

I mean, seriously – probably 95% of the tweets she has on her page today (and there are a lot of them) are all but demanding Democrats go down a different path than choosing Bernie. She’s posted probably at least 10 tweets and retweeted several more on questions about Bernie’s health and how his refusal to release more details about it is “Trumpian.” Keep in mind, however, that if Bernie was someone she supported, she’d make excuses for this exact same behavior because as we all know by now, consistency is not exactly Rubin’s strong suit.

She’s so upset over the possibility of Bernie being the Democratic nominee that she even wrote a column about her concerns about Bernie and his supporters, comparing them to Trump-supporting Republicans who frequently mock her on the grounds that she simply cannot be taken seriously:
