In an interview with Democratic nominee for vice president Kamala Harris, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow not-so-subtly let her anger be known that parent network NBC will host a town hall event with President Donald Trump at the same time ABC will host a similar event with former Vice President Joe Biden. Harris was less keen on discussing the dueling events, giving brief responses and even told Maddow that she’s “not touching” the question.
“Are you as mad as everybody else is that NBC is doing a town hall with President Trump tomorrow instead of the debate at the same time that Vice President Biden’s going to be on ABC?” Maddow asked the candidate on the Wednesday broadcast of her MSNBC program.
“I’m not touching that,” Harris responded.
“Should the networks refuse to give the president other opportunities for airtime if he’s the one who refuses the chance to debate?” Maddow asked.
“You know, I’m not going to tell the networks what to do. But I’ll tell you, I know who I’m going to be watching, so there you go,” Harris said.
