Earlier today Facebook made it known (via a member of their communications team who used to work for prominent Democrats) that they’d be reducing distribution of the New York Post’s article about Hunter Biden and emails purportedly found on a laptop he once owned.
Twitter has apparently now taken steps to prevent people from using their platform to share the Post’s story, as an editor at the paper noted:
This is a Big Tech information coup. This is digital civil war.
I, an editor at The New York Post, one of the nation’s largest papers by circulation, can’t post one of our own stories that details corruption by a major-party presidential candidate, Biden. pic.twitter.com/BKNQmAG19H

Interesting two words:
“Potentially harmful…” https://t.co/bScdrZZnNV

Wow.
Twitter is now flagging the NY Post about Joe Biden lying to the American people as “unsafe.”
Wow. pic.twitter.com/KQcikpX3L9

Twitter now won’t even let me post this link, saying
“We can’t complete this request because this link has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially harmful” pic.twitter.com/dmvOer3VV7

Testing @SohrabAhmari’s claim on the Biden NY Post story, I get this as well pic.twitter.com/nSWL3tGcuO

It might be “potentially unsafe” for a different reason.
Oh I’d say it’s potentially harmful alright but not in the way Twitter means. https://t.co/Dn5EixBj5o
— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) October 14, 2020
Unsafe for Joe. 😅
— Barb the Deplorable Texan (@barb_w62) October 14, 2020
That couldn’t be the case… could it!?
This is amazing. Now @Twitter joins @Facebook in censoring the @nypost reporting on Biden. You almost get the idea #bigtech wants to buy this election https://t.co/XpTPQRmqSd

Unsafe? Your slip is showing, Twitter. https://t.co/KFu0BqNIty

Twitter is completely blocking anyone from tweeting the NY Post article. You can’t even send it through a DM … pic.twitter.com/dmierZzxId
— Jordan Lancaster (@jordylancaster) October 14, 2020
This is insane.
Twitter is blocking the posting of the New York Post story about emails that prove that Joe Biden lied about never discussing Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals.
Try it yourself. pic.twitter.com/KIQgWzisva

Holy shit. Twitter won’t even link to the story about the corrupt Biden crime family. They just made it 1,000 times worse for themselves. pic.twitter.com/mZWvFsGWh8
— I did not and will not vote for him. Calm down. (@jtLOL) October 14, 2020
Big Tech is entering the lockdown phase of narrative control. https://t.co/kNHlALnlyz
— Aaron Lockhart 🇺🇸 (@arabbitorduck) October 14, 2020
Seems @Twitter is doing it too.
This is what I’ve been talking about. All of that “Russian interference” nonsense was really these guys telling us they were going to use these platforms to influence THIS election.https://t.co/URaYTIDLLw https://t.co/70sHlI6hCU

Unreal

Remember when social media outlets went out of their way to flag or prevent stories about “Russia collusion” or wild unsubstantiated claims about Brett Kavanaugh from being shared? Neither do we.
