CNN’s Besty Klein is reporting that CDC Director Dr. Rober Redfield warned governors on a call on Tuesday that “we’re seeing as the increasing threat right now is actually acquisition of infection through small household gatherings”:

Also from the call, the government is investing $500 million in the same on-the-spot test used by the NBA:
And the US government is investing roughly half a billion dollars in a cartridge on-the-spot test that was used in the NBA bubble: “If it was good enough for LeBron, we need to democratize it to the American people,” Adm. Giroir said.

On the bright side, we do have more treatment options than earlier this year:
HHS Sec. Azar sought to highlight what he described as a “strong and growing arsenal” of treatment options, which he cast as a “bridge to vaccine.” “I want to encourage each of you to work with us to ensure that there’s awareness in your states about these options.”

From Missouri Gov. Mike Parson:
MO Gov. Parson, who tested positive for Covid-19 last month, said he “set an example” for his state by quarantining, which, he said, was “hard.” “Someday we’re all going to look back on this, and we’re gonna realize there was a tremendous amount of success stories.”

Hopefully “someday” is “someday really soon.”
