(CNS News) — In a new poll on President Donald Trump’s job approval rating, Gallup found that a majority of Americans predict Trump will win reelection — only 40% said Biden will win.
In the survey, Gallup asked, “Regardless of whom you support, and trying to be as objective as possible, who do you think will win the election in November?”

For all Americans, 56% said the Republican Trump will win and 40% said the Democrat Biden will win.
Among Independents, 56% predict a Trump win and 39% predict a Biden win.
“The prediction of a Trump victory is not consistent with the average of recent national presidential vote-preference polls, which show Biden with a significant lead,” said the polling firm, “but it is consistent with Americans’ expectation of a victory for the incumbent president in every race in which one has been running.”
In 2016, this close to the presidential election, nearly all the media outlets and polling firms predicted Hillary Clinton would win easily, and perhaps in a landslide. She lost, 232 electoral votes to Trump’s 306 electoral votes.
