Sasha Johnson, a radical left-wing activist in London and reported Black Lives Matter leader, said that the police are no different than the KKK, that “racism thrives on capitalism,” and it is time for “one solution, revolution.” She has also called for the creation of a “black militia.”
During a Black Lives Matter protest in London on July 12, Johnson, dressed in camo-pants, a black shirt, black beret, and black gloves, spoke to the crowd using a bullhorn.
“Racism thrives on capitalism,” she shouted. “The back of racism is capitalism. And they say about education, we need a black militia.”
“I ain’t scared of no terrorist group, the police is no different from the KKK,” she said. “They stand around and protect statues and buildings instead of people. They need to join the local council and start to litter-pick too.”
“When I say they have pepper spray, we have our own too,” said Johnson. “They have smokes [smoke grenades], we have it too. Come together, put your fist in the air. Black Power! Don’t ever be scared to say it. It doesn’t mean you hate another race — and anybody that said that you hate them, they too have hidden racism, because they are scared of your blackness. Black is beautiful. Black is evident.”

Johnson continued, “And when I say ‘Free Palestine,’ you know a guy called Cecile Rhodes? He created the Glen Grey Law in South Africa. What is happening in Palestine and in Yemin is the Glen Grey Law being re-created. Just like the ‘Sus law,’ the stop and search. Prevent policy is a racist policy.”
“British value does not exist because it took its values from all around the world,” she shouted. “Don’t be scared to say ‘Free Palestine.’ Don’t be afraid to say ‘Free West Papua.’ Don’t be afraid to say ‘Free Yemen.’ You’re not anti-Semetic. Don’t let no Jewish man create a way to be unheard, to make you unheard.”
Silence is violence,” she said. “If we keep silent, we are also a part of that oppression. I refuse to let nobody put a gag on me. That’s why I don’t connect to no political party. We need our own political party.”

“Because we have David Lammy, he’s tokenistic,” said Johnson. “We have [London Mayor] Sadiq Kahn, is tokenistic. Priti Patel, tokenistic. We’ve had so many inquiries. We had the Grenfell Inquiry, the Windrush Inquiry, the MacPherson Inquiry, the COVID Inquiry.”
“F**k them, they know they’re racist,” she yelled. “Get ready to fight them. And if they don’t bring peace, they know what’s going to happen.”
She then lead the crowd in the following exchange,
Johnson: “One solution?!”
Crowd: “Revolution!”
Johnson: “One solution?!”
Crowd: “Revolution!”
Johnson: “One solution?!”
Crowd: “Revolution!”
Johnson: “No justice?”
Crowd: “No peace!”
Johnson: “Take it to the streets!”
Crowd: “F**k the police!”
Johnson: “F**k them.”
In an August interview with #AreYouListening, Sasha Johnson, 26, identified herself as a “freedom fighter” and “Oxford’s Black Panther.” She also said she is a youth worker and operates the Oxford Kitchen.
“I’ve recently opened a cafe/restaurant on Cawley Road in Oxford,” said Johnson. “So we do, it’s like a youth cafe, you can call it that. We’ve employed young black people in the community, we’ve employed young refugees in the community. We do a food lottery every Wednesday in the restaurant. “

“So we have food parcels that we hand out to the homeless and to anybody in need,” she said. “We basically started this as a stem from BLM to say we don’t want to just speak about building our own businesses and institutions, but we want to do so. And with doing so, here comes the Oxford Kitchen.”
In August, Johnson reportedly was removed from Twitter. In one of her deleted tweets, noted by the group NeverAgain (@Never_Again2020), Johnson wrote, “The white man will not be our equal but our slave. History is changing. No justice, no Peace. #BLM #Brixton #BLMUK.”
