Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.)
(CNS News) – When asked whether House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) should release her tax returns, Senator Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) said he never cared about Pelosi’s tax returns and stressed that what matters is their record in office.
At the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday, CNS News asked Sen. Cramer, “Should Speaker Pelosi release her tax returns?”
Senator Cramer said, “I’ve never cared whether Speaker Pelosi releases her tax returns. It’s not interesting to me.”
“I think when you have people, and President Trump and Nancy Pelosi, albeit not as many years, who are incumbent, high rate public officials, their record is what matters most,” said the senator.
“That’s what they ought to run on and what their opponents ought to try and run against,” he said.
While speaking with reporters, Cramer also said, “The American people, four years ago, willingly hired a very wealthy, successful, property owner, businessman” and that the tax reports “mean very little to most people.”
