(CNSNews.com) – President Trump has had “a few” debate preparation sessions with Chris Christie and Rudy Giuliani standing in for Joe Biden, and “he’s ready” to face Biden in Cleveland tonight, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany told Fox News Monday night.

“The president has done enough preparation. As he noted yesterday, he was with Governor Chris Christie, Mayor Rudy Giuliani and others. So he has had some sessions to prep.

“But really, and we lean very hard on this, you can’t have better preparation than taking the most hostile of questions from the White House press corps each and every day, multiple cases, and often times on the way to the plane, back from the plane, in the press briefing room.

“But he has done some additional prep, and he is ready to go for tomorrow.”

McEnany rejected Biden’s prediction that Trump will attack him personally, rather than “debate the facts.”

“What a ridiculous statement,” McEnany said.

“It will be a comparison. Look at the comparison between the previous eight years and the last four years.

“You had eight years of Obama/Biden, where you had 300,000 veterans who were on a waiting list, who died waiting for care, versus a president who came in and fixed the V.A. You had the slowest economic recovery since World War II under Obama/Biden, on track to the hottest economic recovery we are seeing now in modern history.

“It is a contrast,” McEnany continued. “This president has 3-1/2 years of the results to stand on. That now includes Middle East peace, and he will be making that case.”

Jill Biden, wife of the Democrat presidential nominee, recently told Jake Tapper her husband is ready to debate Trump, and she indicated he’ll rely on projecting a statesmanlike image:

“You know, one of the things I am excited for is, when the American people see Joe Biden up there on that stage, they’re going to see what a president looks like, someone who is, like I’m saying, calm, steady, strong, resilient,” Jill Biden said.

“It’s like night and day between the two candidates. And so I can’t wait for the American people to see Joe, to see that statesman up there in front of the American public.”

Mrs. Biden said Donald Trump’s America is one of “chaos” and “off-the-cuff” comments.

With Joe Biden, she said, “We have calm. We have steady leadership. We don’t have all this chaos in America.”
