Mayor Jenny Durkan should just go on television in Seattle and admit that she has lost the ability to bring a peaceful daily life to the residents of the City.
On Saturday night, without any seeming fear whatsoever that Seattle Police might arrive and break up the festivities, intersections in the city turned into mini-exhibit scenes for driers to show off their little bag of car driving stunts, while onlookers laughed and cheered them on from 20 feet away.
Here is an example:
Seattle: While police are occupied with BLM-antifa rioters tonight, drivers take over an area outside the Space Needle and do doughnuts. A car hit a bunch of people soon after this. Video by @ColeMillerTV. #SeattleRiots pic.twitter.com/9LH7YyEN2o

One is good, two is better — right?
“Pit crew” working to change out that tire. Tandem donuts continue. Police blaring sirens. They’re not able to get anywhere remotely close to the action because there are cars literally parked down Broad all the way to Denny pic.twitter.com/gt0vwHPSiW

More fun.
It’s been a little more than an hour now, no cops in sight. So for now, here’s a dose of early-90s German engineering pic.twitter.com/S8doGvcmFA

Here is an example of “play stupid games, win stupid prizes”:

Just another night in the second “Summer of Love” Adventure of 2020 under the stewardship of Seattle Mayor Jenny Dunkan.
