If you are feeling more and more like the left are trying to hold the country hostage to get the outcome they want in November, your feeling is dead on. As I covered earlier, Joe Biden himself has already put the gun to the country’s head (see Joe Biden Decides to Hold a Gun to the Country’s Head), insinuating that only his election can calm the violence emanating almost exclusively from his base of voters.
Now, his media allies are picking up the baton and running with that same message. A new article from The Atlantic (because who else?) lays out the case for why Republicans should actually support Biden. The idea being that only he can restore law-and-order by preventing his followers from burning crap down.
Try imagining how millions of Democrats will process a Trump victory. A loss for Biden, after having been the clear favorite all summer, would provoke mass disillusion with electoral politics as a means of change. No one should want thathttps://t.co/i6YrArSlhI pic.twitter.com/CF6Ul7tTRw

The author actually deleted his original tweet on the matter. Here it is (right picture below) so you can garner the context of what he was really trying to say before he would later claim that’s not what he meant.
these articles are starting to sound less like thoughtful commentary and more like threats of violence. pic.twitter.com/iBIFk49DRA

As you can see, The Atlantic is not the only outlet to try this line, but that goes without saying in the current climate of coordinated Democrat messaging in the media. Hamid actually believes that Republicans should openly support Biden via some perverted relationship whereby doing so would prevent Antifa and the like from not having to face a loss. His argument is that they wouldn’t take it very well and that “mass unrest” would occur in the vent of a Trump victory.
Back in the real world, that’s all the more reason to vote for Trump. You should never give into manipulation and bullying, and that’s exactly what’s going on here. The left, via their media emissaries, are making the case to the middle that it will be easier if Biden wins. Their hope is that enough people buy that fallacious idea without questioning what they’d be enabling in the process. If you give into Antifa, Black Lives Matter, or any other left-wing, anarchist group now, does anyone really think they’ll pack it up and go home? Of course they won’t. They will keep pushing and pushing.
That’s really the primary idiocy of this article. Yes, it’s dumb to suggest that Republicans willingly become hostages and vote for Biden. But it’s even dumber to suggest that unrest would cease if Biden were elected. All his election would do is embolden the worst parts of the left, and they won’t cease fire with a doddering old fool of a Democrat in charge.
The Atlantic should really seek out some better talent. They aren’t well served by this continued stream of left-wing nonsense, nor their delusional Trump derangement. But when someone like Jeffrey Goldberg is in charge, this is what you get. It’s a sad scene.
