Antifa Rioting in Kenosha Were Armed and Spoiling for a Gunfight and They Found One

Kenosha riot

One of the interesting factoids to emerge from the New York Times review of video from the shooting in Kenosha that left two Antifa thugs dead and ruined the sex life of a third was that the first shot was not fired by 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse. Via my post In a Bizarre Turn of Events, NYT Investigation of Kenosha Shooting Makes a Strong Case for Self-Defense, this is from the New York Times:

While Mr. Rittenhouse is being pursued by the group, an unknown gunman fires into the air, though it’s unclear why. The weapon’s muzzle flash appears in footage filmed at the scene.

Mr. Rittenhouse turns toward the sound of gunfire as another pursuer lunges toward him from the same direction. Mr. Rittenhouse then fires four times, and appears to shoot the man in the head.

Interesting.

I further note:

Then you hear the first shot (0:07). Clearly pistol. Then you hear four shots (0:11) and you see Rosenbaum stretched out. And finally, there are three additional shots (0:15).

I haven’t seen ballistics reports from Kenosha, but right now, I have some real doubts about what happened:

“A loud bang is heard on the video,” the prosecutors wrote. “Then a male shouts, ‘F— you,’ then Rosenbaum appears to continue to approach the defendant and gets in near proximity to the defendant, when four more loud bangs are heard. Rosenbaum then falls to the ground”

A reporter removed his shirt and tried to give Rosenbaum first aid, when Rittenhouse appeared to make a cell phone call and began to run away, the complaint says.

“As the defendant is running away, he can be heard saying on the phone, ‘I just killed somebody,’ ” the prosecutors wrote.

The complaint says a friend of Rittenhouse’s told a detective he received a phone call from the defendant and that Rittenhouse said in the call that he had shot someone.

An autopsy showed Rosenbaum had gunshot wounds to the groin, back, hand, thigh and forehead, according to the complaint.

I don’t want to go all grassy knoll here, but the gunshots captured on the video, the autopsy, and the charges filed do not add up.

Regardless, part of the narrative is that the “mostly peaceful” demonstrators minded their own business until Rittenhouse killed two and wounded one.

But new images emerging tell a very, very different story. They show the Antifa thugs had weapons and seem to be spoiling for a fight.

These stills have all been extracted from this video.

The facts here are simple and straightforward. Two groups of armed people showed up in Kenosha. One group, that to which Kyle Rittenhouse belonged, coordinated their activities with authorities, obeyed the law, and, if you watch the videos, had a clear chain of command. The other was none of that and came spoiling for a fight. The pedo screaming “shoot me, n***a!” over and over is just a microcosm of the violent nature of that second group.

After Rittenhouse becomes separated from his group, several Antifa, including pedo-boy, chase Rittenhouse down and try to take his firearm. One of the Antifa fires a shot. Perhaps in the air as the New York Times claims, but who knows, and it doesn’t matter because Rittenhouse knew he has being pursued by a feral mob and he heard a shot fired. This is one-plus-one reasoning.

Far from being an aggressor, Rittenhouse was the stalked and attacked by armed men who intended to either kill him or seriously injure him. The dead men got what was coming to them.
