A new survey by the Trafalgar Group shows that Democrat Joe Biden and Republican Donald Trump are statistically tied in the presidential race there, 46.9% to Biden and 46.5% to Trump.

Trump lost Minnesota to Hillary Clinton in 2016 — Trump got 44.92% of the vote there and Clinton earned 46.44% of the vote.

The Trafalgar Group was the only polling firm “to show Trump leading in Michigan heading into Election Day” 2016, reported The Hill. Trump beat Clinton there, 47.5% to 47.2%.

The polling outlet “weights its polls to account for a ‘social desirability bias,’ or the so-called shy Trump voters who are embarrassed to tell pollsters they support his candidacy,” said The Hill. Pollster Robert Cahaly, according to The Hill,  “believes there are more quiet Trump voters in the U.S. than there were in 2016.”

For the survey, Trafalgar interviewed 1,141 likely voters Aug. 15-18. The margin of error for the poll is 2.98 percentage points.
