Washington, DC — On Sunday, the Associated Press is reporting that Democrats summoned United States Postal Service leadership to an “emergency” hearing on mail delay concerns. The Democrats started the narrative that the postal service would experience delays under recent changes at the agency. Democrats on the House Oversight and Reform Committee asked to speak with Postmaster General Louis DeJoy and from the chair of the Postal Service board of governors, Robert Duncan.
The hearing will take place on August 24, a full eight days from the initial request for the hearing. Democrats have been attacking the postal service operations recently amid reports that postal sorting machines were being decommissioned.
White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows denied those reports on Sunday and called on Democrats to return to Washington to work on actual aid for Americans. The Democrat-led House, who insisted on passing a massive coronavirus spending legislation before the August recess, left without reaching such a deal with Republicans.
President Trump has indicated that he would be willing to work with Democrats for funding for the USPS. President Trump has expressed significant concern regarding mail-in voting for the fall. We have covered at great lengths the worries with mail-in voting and the lack of security that can be provided for such a process.
In his statements on Sunday, Meadows said that all actions so far in the USPS for equipment were already scheduled long before recent accusations from Democrats. He said that the operational plans were underway and that any changes would not cause issues for the USPS to handle ballots this fall if needed.
Democrats have said that all the actions taking place are a direct order from President Trump, in an attempt to suppress voter turnout. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said on Sunday, “What you are witnessing is a president of the United States who is doing everything he can to suppress the vote, make it harder for people to engage in mail-in balloting at a time when people will be putting their lives on the line by having to go out to a polling station and vote.”
Meadows was clear in his comments on Sunday that Trump has no issue with people casting absentee ballots. He said that Trump has an issue with universal mail-in ballots, which has been a suggestion of Democrats. Democrats continue to insist that we must vote by mail in November.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the mainstream media celebrated infectious disease expert, said that there is no reason that Americans cannot vote in person. He says that if social distancing and other protective measures are taken, voting in person will be perfectly fine. The US mainstream media continues to ignore those statements, instead favoring to report only on how President Trump is attempting to steal the election.
What is taking place is that the US mainstream media is building a narrative. A narrative that they can create further chaos in the United States if President Trump wins in November. It’s very similar to the narratives they build around the US on other social issues as well.
If President Trump wins in November, we will hear the constant barrage of attacks of how he stole the election. We will hear about the cases of mail fraud that occurred, even though the left says now that mail fraud either does not exist or is not a concern. All of those things will be mainstream topics in November if President Trump wins.
The media has completely put themselves into the pockets of the Biden campaign. They celebrate wins together, they push narratives together, and will have to come up with excuses together. Excuses as to why their chosen candidate did not win against a President that is “unfit for office” and “attempting to steal the election.”
The mainstream media will argue that they told us this story long before it happened, even though there will be no truth found in it. It will be your typical mainstream media story. One slight truth, followed by a bunch of Democrat-fed propaganda. Then, we will all see that the USPS story was simply the left hedging their bet on Joe Biden.
