Joe Biden made some pretty incredible remarks as he tried to attack President Donald Trump and call him a racist.
From NY Post:
“The way he deals with people based on the color of their skin, their national origin, where they’re from, is absolutely sickening,” the former veep said.
“No sitting president has ever done this. Never, never, never. No Republican president has done this. No Democratic president. We’ve had racists, and they’ve existed, they’ve tried to get elected president. He’s the first one that has,” Biden added.
Now leaving aside the fact that if anyone has made racist remarks, it’s Joe Biden, the fact that he would claim that Trump was the first “racist” president is, unfortunately, just not true. And we don’t have to go too far back either. LBJ was well known for not holding back from the use of racist epithets.
Joe Biden in not recognizing that is throwing all that history down the chute.
“The Breakfast Club” radio host, Charlamagne tha God, was having none of it. He blasted Biden, calling his “revisionist history” a “lie.”
“I really wish Joe Biden would shut the f–k up forever and continue to act like he’s starring in the movie ‘A Quiet Place’ because as soon as he opens his mouth and makes noise, he gets us all killed, OK?” he said. [….]
“How are we ever going to atone for America’s original sins if we don’t acknowledge them?” he said. “How the hell can Donald Trump be the first racist president in a country where 12 presidents before him owned slaves?”
“Joe, you got to hurry up and announce your black woman VP so I can be enthused about voting for her because I will never be enthused about voting for you, and you know America is a terrible place when Kanye West seems like a viable option,” Charlamagne added.
Charlamagne cited polling the wide enthusiasm gap between Biden and Trump, noting that was a danger sign for Biden, for folks to be so lacking in enthusiasm for him. He said he thought these remarks by Biden would make it even worse.
Charlamagne named Biden his “Donkey of the Day” for his remarks.
That shows how it’s going to be a real struggle for some black people who remember everything Biden has said and done to vote for Joe Biden.
Biden infamously told Charlamagne that if you didn’t know that you should vote for him than “you ain’t black,” as though he or Democrats were owed the black vote.
Trump has made a lot of inroads with the black vote because people see what he’s did to lower black unemployment prior to the pandemic. When you deliver results, people see it.
