Joe Steps in It Again While Trashing Police: ‘They Become the Enemy’

I can hear it already. Joe Biden and his apologists will once again claim that he didn’t mean to say what he said. Just like they always do. But  he did. During an interview with a progressive media outlet, Biden said of America’s police departments: “They become the enemy.”

Speaking with NowThis, Biden said that when police go into a neighborhood in an “up-armored Humvee,” they “become the enemy.”

Surplus military equipment for law enforcement, they don’t need that! The last thing you need is an up-armored Humvee coming into a neighborhood, it’s like the military invading. They don’t know anybody. They become the enemy. They’re supposed to be protecting these people.

In a sad way, Biden looked lost. Almost desperate, or at least scared. Thing is, so what? The guy is the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee. This is the guy Democrats want to sit across the table from Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping and negotiate for America.

After Biden’s bumbling answer, he was asked if he agrees that “we can redirect some of the funding.” “Yes! Absolutely!”, he forcefully replied, seeming to come back to life upon hearing the question.

I don’t want to sound mean, but after having watched that video, I can’t picture Joe successfully ordering a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, mustard and pickles only, small order of fries, and a chocolate milkshake at a McDonald’s drive-thru — even if he’s not driving.

As to be expected, the Trump War Room Twitter account was quick to jump on Biden and his comments.

As a spirited debate broke out on the thread of the Trump War Room tweet, the following tweet summed up my thoughts while watching Joe.

All joking aside, Biden has found it necessary to attempt to at least pretend to placate the crazies on the left-wing of the Democrat Party, while also trying to make sure he doesn’t get too far out there and run the risk of scaring off regular rank-and-file Democrat voters.

As I wrote in May, at least thirteen members of Biden’s campaign staff made donations to a group that helped pay cash bail for Minnesota “protesters” — and bragged about doing so on Twitter.

But as my colleague Bonchie wrote in June, Biden is basically trying to ignore the Black Lives Matter movement, and suggested that Joe doesn’t really want to “defund the police” — at least not AOC-style.

Truth is, the oft-confused old Democrat is in a tough spot.

How’s that old saying go? When you try to be all things to all people, you end up being nothing to anyone? Maybe Joe needs to stay in his basement until November — with duct tape on his mouth.
