(CNSNews.com) – Former Vice President Joe Biden told reporters at a briefing today in Wilmington, Del., that he has started to prepare for his series of three presidential debates with President Donald Trump “by going over what the president has said and the multiple lies he’s told.”

Biden did not cite any particular statement by President Trump that he considers a lie.

A reporter asked Biden: “Is there anything that could dissuade you from participating [in the debates] and how have you begun to prepare?”

“Well, I’ve begun to prepare by going over what the president has said and the multiple lies he’s told,” Biden responded.

“What I’d love to have is a crawler at the bottom of the screen, a fact-checker, you know, when we speak,” said Biden.

“If we really wanted to do something, I think that would make a great, great debate, if everything both of us said was instantly fact-checked by an agreed-to group of people out there that we move forward,” said Biden.

“But that probably wouldn’t get very far in the debate,” he said.

“No, I’m looking forward to debating the president and I’m going to layout as clearly as I can what I think we have to do to bring this country back and build it back better,” said Biden.

“And I am looking forward to the debate,” he said.

On Wednesday, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced the moderators of the three debates that will be held between Biden and Trump. The first debate, on Sept. 29, will be moderated by Chris Wallace of Fox News. The second debate, on Oct. 15, will be moderated by Steve Scully of CSPAN. The third debate, on Oct. 22, will be moderated by Kristen Welker of NBC News.

Here is a transcript of the part of Biden’s briefing where he explains why he is looking forward to the debates with President Donald Trump:

Reporter: “And last, quickly, they announced the format and moderators of the presidential debates, today. NBC’s Kristen Welker batting clean-up for that last presidential debate. Is there anything, you said you’ll participate. Is there anything that could dissuade you from participating and how have you begun to prepare?”

Joe Biden: “Well, I’ve begun to prepare by going over what the president has said and the multiple lies he’s told.

“What I’d love to have is a crawler at the bottom of the screen, a fact-checker, you know, when we speak. If we really wanted to do something, I think that would make a great, great debate, if everything both of us said was instantly fact-checked by an agreed-to group of people out there that we move forward. But that probably wouldn’t get very far in the debate. No, I’m looking forward to debating the president and I’m going to layout as clearly as I can what I think we have to do to bring this country back and build it back better. And I am looking forward to the debate.”
