The 2020 general elections will a referendum on the “starkest ever choice” between socialism and capitalism, political analyst Geraldo Rivera said Thursday, declaring Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) the winner of Wednesday’s Democrat candidate debate.

“Capitalist @realDonaldTrump will have his hands full” taking on Sanders, Rivera tweeted, saying the debate marked the end of former Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s hopes of becoming the Democrat Party’s nominee:

“Bye Bye @Bloomberg hello @BernieSanders a potent Socialist. 1/2 USA digs call to spread wealth-especially if it isn’t theirs & don’t have to pay back. General election will be starkest ever choice betw economic/social models. Capitalist @realDonaldTrump will have his hands full.”

In another tweet, Rivera said a brutally honest post-debate tweet by President Donald Trump summed up Bloomberg’s disastrous debate performance:

“With his usual brutal candor @realDonaldTrump encapsulates in this rough tweet the general sentiment that @MikeBloomberg got chopped up last night. @SenWarren especially effective-if unfair-in destroying mayor’s record with complaints from women on issues of harassment & NDA’s”

In his tweet, Trump called Bloomberg’s debate performance “perhaps the worst in the history of debates”:

“Mini Mike Bloomberg’s debate performance tonight was perhaps the worst in the history of debates, and there have been some really bad ones. He was stumbling, bumbling and grossly incompetent. If this doesn’t knock him out of the race, nothing will. Not so easy to do what I did!”
