Jenna Marbles, a YouTuber with more than 20 million followers, issued this apology and announced she was quitting the internet this week after being criticized for a 2011 impression of Nicki Minaj where she is said to have used blackface. She also apologized for “slut shaming,” “internalized misogyny,” for use of an anti-Asian stereotype, and for being friends with a racist.

“I’m ashamed of things I’ve said and done in my past.”

“I don’t always know what’s wrong, what’s right, what the truth is,” she said. “I’m just doing my best.”
