As historical statues and monuments continue to get vandalized and pulled down by angry leftist rage mobs all across the country, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) has just four words for any “peaceful protester” considering doing damage to South Dakota’s Mount Rushmore:

“Not on my watch.”

Noem made the vow in response to a tweet from Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro, who wondered when “our woke historical revisionist priesthood” was going to make Mount Rushmore their next target:

Conservatives on Twitter included RedState’s Brandon Morse rained down praise on Noem for showing the type of leadership against rage mobs that Democratic “leaders” in other states who have faced similar issues have failed to demonstrate:

Noem is one of several Republican leaders whose voices have gotten louder as the statues have continued to fall. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) took to the floor of the Senate on Monday and gave a speech for the ages on the dangers of mob rule and cancel culture. And earlier today, President Trump gave anarchistic left-wing mobs a warning that arrests and up to ten years in prison were coming for anyone caught “vandaliz[ing] or destroy[ing] any monument, statue or other such Federal property in the U.S.”
